Prof Lokman Saim Ear Clinic

Emeritus Professor Dato’ Lokman Saim is an ENT surgeon who has double specialty qualification from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Master of ORL- Head & Neck Surgery,1991) and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh UK (Fellowship, 1989). 

He received further training with sub-specialization in Otology and Neurotology at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Clinic, Boston (Fellowship, 1994). His primary clinical practice is at Prof Lokman Saim Ear Clinic and KPJ Tawakkal KL Specialist Hospital, Kuala Lumpur. Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr Lokman Saim is also Dean Graduate School of Medicine and Vice Chancellor of KPJ Healthcare University College, Malaysia. 

He was formerly Professor of Otorhinolaryngology and Dean Faculty of Medicine and Director of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Center. Prof. Lokman Saim is amongst the pioneer in cochlear implant surgery in ASEAN and Asia Pacific region. He is appointed as consultant surgeon to establish ear and hearing centers and to perform cochlear implant surgeries in Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam. 

To date, he has performed and assisted in more than 1000 cochlear implant surgeries. He received his Medical Degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1984. He was appointed Clinical Professor at the School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University Sydney 2010- 2013. He was conferred Emeritus Professor by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2018.
